Flame Sensors
Flame sensors connect directly to a control board. The other end is placed directly into the flame of a pilot light or burner. If it does not sense a flame within a few seconds of the burner igniting, the sensor will shut down the gas valve. Do not confuse a flame sensor with a thermocouple. Difference is that a thermocouple connects directly to a gas valve.
