HVAC Parts LLC. Technical Service Protocol
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to get technical service help with equipment.
- Equipment under warranty needs to be addressed with the wholesaler you buy your equipment from like (Johnstone Supply and US Air) they have a technical service adviser who is trained and updated on the equipment changes.
- Manufacturers build the equipment, the distributor sells truckloads of equipment to wholesalers, the contractor buys from the distributor and installs it in the customers home. If there is a warranty issue the warranty paperwork needs to be sent from the contractor to the wholesaler and determine if the equipment can be fixed and how much time the Warranty book allows for hourly rate to be reimbursed back to the contractor.
- Equipment no longer under warranty can be serviced by any certified contractor, the contractor determines the part that has failed and purchases the part from us at the part store, The parts we sell have a 1 year parts warranty, If you bought a part from us you have a 1 year warranty on the parts you bought from us, please let us know what the past order number was and we can send you a new part free of charge.
- The HVAC Part Store (Coleman HVAC) does not have a technical service phone number as this was discontinued in 2018 due to the number of homeowners and not skilled / trained people calling to try to fix their own equipment. If you are a contractor and we have your credentials on file, then use the 800 number and follow the prompts on the phone system.
- If you are a HOMEOWNER needing help- then email us your model and serial number and let us know what you are looking for or what the problems are and when we have time between helping our contractors we will answer your questions, please give us as much information as possible also it helps to send pictures so we can see what your looking at.
- The Biggest Problem we have – with phone calls and technical service is phone service, not being able to understand letters C’s B’s Z’s so many letters sound alike over voice, also with having email paper trail we are not repeating our self as we can scroll back and see the prior conversation, we can also send pictures and PDF’s to show installation instructions or revisions. Seeing parts breakdowns and reading instructions is more useful than describing them over the phone.
