SAIL SWITCH Replaces – OLD# 232868
For Models: SHD2542
This Suburban 233354 Sail Switch is the airflow‑proving safety device used in Suburban RV furnaces. Before ignition can occur, the blower must generate enough airflow to lift the internal “sail” and close the switch. If airflow is weak—due to a failing motor, blocked ducts, or debris—the switch remains open, preventing ignition and protecting the furnace from overheating.
Because sail switches sit directly in the blower airstream, they commonly fail from dust buildup, sticking, or mechanical wear. Replacing a faulty sail switch often resolves “blower runs but no heat” issues.
