Function
The ICM318 manages the heat pump defrost cycle by monitoring coil temperature and compressor run time. When frost buildup is detected, the board temporarily shifts the system into defrost mode, energizing the reversing valve and auxiliary heat as needed.
This restores proper airflow and prevents coil freeze‑up.
