The Supco L240 Snap Disc Auto-Reset Limit Switch is a high-reliability, safety-critical temperature control sensor engineered for residential furnaces, HVAC air handlers, and commercial heating equipment. Functioning as a high-limit safety cut-out, this premium snap-disc switch features an Open on Rise switch action, instantly breaking the electrical circuit if the ambient system temperature reaches its fixed high-temperature threshold.

The switch is engineered with a fixed cut-out temperature of 240°F (116°C) to protect the heat exchanger from hazardous overheating conditions. Once the system safely cools back down to its fixed cut-in temperature of 200°F (93°C), the internal bimetal disc automatically snaps back into place, restoring electrical continuity and allowing normal heating cycles to resume.
